How we build your custom home

We’ve carefully designed our process so you feel genuinely involved from concept through to completion. Every stage is explained clearly, in everyday language β€” without unnecessary industry jargon β€” so you always understand what’s happening and what comes next.

Step 1:

Initial Consultation

Every exceptional home begins with a considered conversation.

In this initial stage, we take the time to understand your vision, your site and the way you want to live. We explore spatial priorities, architectural influences, performance expectations and investment parameters β€” ensuring clarity before design begins.

Where site constraints or complex requirements exist, our team provides informed guidance drawn from extensive experience across Gippsland’s diverse landscapes. Early cost insights are provided to align ambition with feasibility, establishing a strong foundation for the journey ahead.

Step 2:

Design Brief & Direction

With alignment established, we refine the architectural brief.

This stage brings structure to your ideas β€” defining layout principles, material direction, sustainability targets and key functional requirements. Every decision is approached with intention, balancing aesthetics, performance and longevity.

Consultations are by appointment at our head office in Warragul, guided by an experienced design and build consultant.

Step 3:

Concept Design

Your home begins to take architectural form.

Drawing on the agreed brief, our team develops a custom design tailored to your site, lifestyle and design aspirations. Proportion, orientation and materiality are carefully considered to ensure the home sits comfortably within its landscape.

Your concept presentation includes:

  • Architectural floor plans and spatial planning

  • 3D visualisations for experiential clarity

  • Exterior form and material direction

  • Curated selections of fixtures, finishes and detailing

  • Performance and construction considerations

Your dedicated designer will refine the concept with you, ensuring it responds thoughtfully to your site, budget and long-term living goals.

Step 4:

Documentation & Investment

Once the design is resolved, we move into detailed documentation and cost planning.

Our estimating team collaborates with trusted suppliers and trades to prepare a comprehensive, transparent proposal. Every inclusion is clearly defined, ensuring precision and certainty prior to contract.

You will receive:

  • Fully itemised costings

  • Final architectural drawings and specifications

  • A detailed scope of works

  • A clearly defined construction timeline

Everything is presented clearly so you have confidence in both budget and delivery.

Step 5:

Construction

With documentation complete and approvals secured, construction commences.

Your dedicated project manager oversees the build in collaboration with our registered builder and carefully selected trades. Craftsmanship, communication and quality control remain central throughout the process.

From site preparation and demolition (where applicable) through to structural works and final finishes, each stage is managed with precision. Should refinements be required, they are addressed thoughtfully and communicated clearly β€” ensuring integrity of both design and outcome.

You remain informed and supported at every stage.

Step 6:

Handover

Prior to completion, your home undergoes a meticulous internal quality review, ensuring every finish, fixture and architectural detail reflects our exacting standards.

You are then invited to a private walkthrough, where we present the completed residence and review each space together.

Once every detail has been considered and approved, we formally hand over the keys β€” marking the beginning of life in a home designed and built exclusively for you.
